This is the first year I’ve started Christmas in November. I’ve hardly started Christmas even in December, I tell you. Suddenly I surprised myself making ginger bread dough late Thursday night, just like that. For the first time in my life!! Yes, I’ve bought the dough from the shop earlier, I admit. It was like there was no other way. But this time I smelled every spice before I put in the pot, and I enjoyed every second. Meditation. And I’ve never tasted such good ginger breads, if I’m allowed to say so. They’re soft, not dry and crispy ones. I like that.
My daughter’s school had Friday off this week, so we made ourselves a very good day. Ginger bread, reading, painting and drawing. That’s all we needed. Well, I thought we needed a walk in the woods to, but she didn’t agree. So we skipped that one. I just had a discussion with myself whether to say what I think of screen time, iPad, phones, social media etc etc when it comes to really young people, and I decided I’m not to discuss that in here 😉
So, we did not have a black Friday! I did click something home though, with no sale label attached to it. It carries the name “you are my shining star”, and it’s a gift. From me to… moi! Because I’ve made some big (read: small, but still…) steps forward this last couple of weeks, and I feel good about it. I want to celebrate and keep reminding myself what I’m capable of by having this gorgeousness hanging around my neck. It will be my cosmic egg. More about that later…
