There will be dark, there will be light. New tasks, different challenges, almost too much for me at once. I keep putting myself into these situations, so I guess it’s a way of feeling alive. I need to feel alive! To feel alive can be to isolate myself and make a painting, dare to go even further in understanding who I am and how to deal with it, or to listen to music. Listen to vinyl in the sweet spot is my main hobby now that the outhouse is close to done (I know I keep saying that, but it’s soon done!).
Seriously, in May I will make my first painting on commission! I’m both proud and nervous at the same time. You remember me making my first one, right? And the commission one will be the second (!), or might third, since the huge canvas on the third photo above is to be made for our recording studio as a part of the camouflage of the sound absorption (it will be filled with sound absorption stuff, haha).
We’re also having plans for making one or two music videos for our second album which will be released early June! Yay! On all streaming services and vinyl. And you won’t guess the front of the sleeve… but remember how the back of it was made?? The final result will be shown in not too long. And you want to see a weird and funny music video we made from our first album, Mr. Shrimp? Go and have a look here. You will also find another video there, Not Quite Right, which we shot in NY.
I keep rambling, hope you’re still reading because more is going to happen! The thing which is totally new to me will happen in Stockholm in the end of the month: I’m going to “model” (have to write it like that, ’cause I’m really not a real model) for some beautiful vintage wedding dresses and flower bouquets! How amaze isn’t that?! I mean – I’m in my thirties (even some grey hairs!), doesn’t fit in to size 34 (size 6), never done this before (this will probably be my only modeling my whole life) and there’s more, but I won’t tell in case they change their minds if they read this 😉 Stockholm + vintage wedding dresses – did blogger and television host Elsa Billgren cross your mind? In that matter you’re right! It’s her dresses, and the rest of the team will be Skillad Floral Design, Matilda Audas Björkholm and Rental Stories. So excited!! And I will probably be so mad at myself many times before this day, trying to convince myself I’m not good enough and that I will mess it up (yeah, I know…). But the plane tickets are already bought, and there’s no way back! Any good tips out there for Stockholm? Please leave a comment!
And except all that I was thinking about finishing the painting in the hall and stairs and make myself an atelier in a small room downstairs… The heading of this post should have been What’s Up May and June and July?…
