I was one of fifty lucky people to get one of this gorgeous medallions from Mokkasin-Sofia’s shop earlier, and today she transferred a part of the income to the cancer society. She’s a good hearted one! She even delivered it personal to me last Thursday when I arrived in Stockholm. And no offense to the rest of the world, but those hours spent with Sofia was some of the best hours I’ve ever had. She was really someone special, and after we met she found out that we’re almost neighbors, just five and a half hour with car between us! My husband and I have been studying the map today, and we can’t see any reason not to go!
What Sofia says about her medallions: “Medallions are the jewelry of my dreams. It has always been. There’s something about putting a secret so close to the heart (…) And I love that we managed to fill it too. With the smallest and most beautiful kinds of secrets. When you carefully shake your medallion you hear a little sound. So soft it’s only you who hear. The sound comes from the tiny stars within. What they mean to you is just your own secret. And every time you hear, you remember.”
I kind of suck at taking indoor photos in lamp light, but I could not resist using a couple of them anyway… Because the person in them are brilliant and beautiful no matter how my photography skills are like!
Well, after drinking coffee and having some cake, we met Mari Strenghielm at Haymarket and went for a Christmas mingle Midnatt arranged at the Roal Academy of Fine Arts where we also met Lina Östling. Very inspiring people, both part of the you must check out blog collective Northern Sisters! I was overwhelmed of course, I mean – I’ve never met up any bloggers or been invited to any mingle. And suddenly I was in the middle of it all. Surreal.

Want to read Sofia’s blogpost after we met? There you can also see what I brought her, remember me questioning what to bring? It’s in Swedish, but you have to see anyway, because she’s such a fab photographer, gosh! Ended up adding many links today, but save them for later or pour some coffee, ’cause they’re all worth a visit <3 Also Rowen and Wren where the star garland is from (got it in my workshop goodie bag!)
Thank you Sofia, you’re a shining star!
