Hi! I told you a while ago I’m nominated in The Best Interior Lifestyle Blog at Amara Interior Blog Awards again this year, but that day it was one of those days I didn’t care much about anything. That’s how I am, and it happens every now and then. But the last week or so I have really been at my best – feeling calm inside and I have much drive to keep up projects I like! I’m really grateful for that.
I would also be very grateful if you voted for me – Villa Betula – the blog with its fragile personal twist to it, because it’s the only way to tell my tale. I’m far from skimming the tops, and I like it when “different” can shine and take it’s place, for example at a blog award ceremony! So now we’re gonna show ’em, right?! It would have been great fun to be shortlisted and go to the ceremony in London in October. And you could all join me trough my stories at Instagram and here at the blog of course.
So if you don’t mind, follow this direct link to vote for me, that’s the only way to make this possible! I’ll keep my fingers crossed! Just so you know I have actually started to make music for our third album today! Finally I was ready! So I celebrate with some new photos from our very special recording studio. If you like music (who doesn’t?) – have a listen right here in the menu on the right side, so easy! And if you really love what you hear, there’s vinyl for sale right here. Enjoy!
Voted again, same as last year! ^__^
Your home and esthetics just blow my mind, and I’ve been meaning to post comments here maaany times. I haven’t been keeping up with your blog for a few months now, but I appreciate the way you also write about your life and (mental) wellbeing – I myself have been absent from my studies (and from life in general, it sometimes feels..) for the past year due to depression that’s been my “companion” for nearly 2/3 of my life and I’m only 33..
Anyway, everything in your blog is so beautiful and inspiring to me – the colours, the furniture and items, the way you take photographs, your writing.. I’m so glad I happened to stumble to an image of a pink flamingo(I love flamingos) among some deep dark green plants by your window in Instagram maybe a year ago..?

Hi Jade. What a lovely and personal comment, I appreciate it so much! Thanks a lot for your vote, and I’m glad you’ve found your way back here after some months off. I’m really sorry to hear that you feel absent from your life, it such a devastating place to be when you’re not connected to what we see as “life”. I know there’s little I can say to help, even though I have really rough times a lot myself. I’m afraid to say something wrong, you know. You’re only one year older than me… and we still have the time to get better, and hopefully both of us will. If my blog can make you feel inspired, that’s beautiful to me, if it can give you some sort of a break from other difficult things you’re struggling with. I’m also glad you tell me about your first “meeting” with the flamingo… Please leave comments again if you like to, I would like that 🙂 All the best, Maren Ingeborg
